Don Coomer joined the team in November 2008 when Coomer-Wells & Co. CPA became a part of BCPAG.  After nearly a half-century in public accounting, Don's primary areas of interest are tax controversy, wealth transfer, estates and trusts.

Don is a native Nashvillian and plays bluegrass music at every opportunity.  He is also a licensed airplane and glider pilot who enjoys  "slipping the surly bonds of earth."  Don and his wife, Sue, have four children and six grandchildren.

Carol Crick joined BCPAG in February 2010 as a Tax Manager.  She has over 10 years in public accounting experience and 8 years in private industry.  Carol graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Tennessee.

She is a board member of the Donelson/Hermitage YMCA and a Patricia Hart Society Member.  Carol also volunteers with the Heart Beat Community Help Center.


Tiffiny Davis joined BCPAG in September of 1996 as our receptionist.  She has lived in the Nashville area since 1995 and has loved every minute of it.  She has family in South Carolina and Texas and is the youngest of two children.  She enjoys traveling, is a big time Tennessee Titans fan and loves going to see plays at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center and going to concerts.

At BCPAG, she is responsible for answering the phones, greeting clients who walk through the front door, processing all of the tax returns, overseeing the transition process for new clients as well as general administrative responsibilities.  She does it all!

Mike Dunn is a principal at the firm and joined the team in January 1999.  He is a 1990 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, while majoring in Accounting.   He worked for a CPA firm in his hometown of Martin before moving to Nashville in 1993.   Since that time, he has been providing tax preparation and planning, primarily for individual and small business clients.  His work has a strong emphasis in the planning, preparation and administration of estates and trusts as well as working closely with non-profit and charitable organizations.

In 1992, Mike married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Tina, whom he began dating in 1985.   They have a daughter, Cameryn, who was born in June 2009.  When not chained to his desk, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and watching his baby girl grow up way too fast.   Because he lives in a very wooded area of Fairview, his hobbies include picking up fallen limbs and raking leaves.   His father, a former high school football coach, once held the state record of 42 consecutive wins.   A baseball player during all of his youth, including two years at a junior college in Mississippi, Mike is a huge sports fan.

Larry joined BCPAG in 2008. He has over 39 years of experience auditing State and Federal programs, small and mid-sized companies, nonprofit organizations, and employee benefit plans. Prior to joining BCPAG, he worked 34 years as a Federal auditor and 4 years with Coomer - Wells & Co., P.C. Certified Public Accountants.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Austin Peay State University.

Larry and his wife are blessed with three children and five grandchildren.  He enjoys his work and attends Our Savior Lutheran Church with his family.


Sue McClelland joined the firm in November 2009 after moving from McLean, Virginia where she was a principal in a small firm in the Washington, D.C. suburbs.   She has over twenty years experience in public accounting and specializes in individual, fiduciary and estate tax consulting and preparation.

The move to Franklin allows her to spend more time with her two year old grandson and family who live nearby, and to be closer to her other daughter and six month old granddaughter in Austin, Texas.  Her volunteer interests focus on low income housing.  Before moving to Tennessee, she served on the Board of Directors of the local Habitat for Humanity and she is seeking new opportunities to pursue that interest in the Nashville area.  Her hobbies include travel, reading and cooking.

Deborah joined BCPAG in July 2008 in the position of Client Services, Tax Preparation and Accounting Services.  She has over 9 years of experience in individual income tax preparation and, in addition, has over 20 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience.

Deborah was born in Tennessee but was raised in California for her first 18 years then she returned to Tennessee (where most of her family resides) and has been here ever since.  She is married with 2 daughters and also a granddaughter.  She enjoys cooking, movies and all crafts, but enjoys spending time with her family the most.

Minnie Butler joined BCPAG in January 2002 along with William L. Rieder, CPA and his firm's staff.   She has worked in tax and accounting services for over 30 years, with 16 of those years in Evansville, Indiana.

After living in Southern Illinois and Indiana, Minnie moved to Tennessee in 1994.  She enjoys dancing, hiking and herbal gardening.

Chris Dickinson joined BCPAG in January 2002 along with William L. Rieder, CPA and his firm's staff.  She has over 25 years experience in tax preparation and accounting services.

Chris is originally from Akron, Ohio.  She married her husband, John, is 1972 and with his career they lived in Mexico City where their 2 sons were born, Panama City, Panama where their daughter was born, Lima, Peru and Caracas, Venezuela, for a total of 16 years overseas.  They moved to Nashville in 1994 with John's job transfer.  All 3 adult children are now married and starting their own families.

Wanda Greene has been with Blankenship CPA Group as an administrative assistant since July, 2010.  Wanda came to Blankenship with over 23 years in the legal field, first as an accounting office administrator for a large law firm in Nashville, and then as a legal office administrator and legal assistant for a local firm in Brentwood.   

Wanda grew up in the Nashville area in a Nazarene pastor’s home, and attended Trevecca Nazarene University.  She and her husband, Ricky, attend Broadmoor Family Worship Center in Nashville, where they teach Sunday School and assist with the youth department.  They have two children and one granddaughter together in addition to Ricky’s older son and three grandchildren.

Bryan Ries joined BCPAG in July 2011 as a staff auditor at the Brentwood office.  He has a BA from Harding University, an MA from Harding University Graduate School of Religion and became a licensed CPA in August 2011.

Prior to joining BCPAG, Bryan and his family served as church planting missionaries in Togo, W. Africa for 8 years.  While in Togo, Bryan developed a passion for mentoring, grassroots-level economic development, outdoors activities and African wildlife.  He and his wife, Tracey, currently reside in Thompsons Station, TN with their 4 boys.  They are part of the Forest Home Church in Franklin, TN and are active participants in local youth sports programs (basketball, football & soccer).

Alan Siliski received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in Durham, NC, an MBA degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, and a JD from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, AL.  He works mainly in the areas of tax and auditing. 

Alan enjoys playing golf and tennis, and traveling to the New England area to see the beautiful scenery in the summer time.

Don Slaughter joined BCPAG in October of 2010 as an Audit Manager.  Don has over 20 years of public accounting experience.  He is a 1990 graduate of Louisiana Tech University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.   He has worked for regional and local firms in Arkansas, Louisiana, Nevada, and Florida.  His areas of industry focus are government, not-for-profit, hospitality, telecommunications, real estate and construction.

Wayne Wells joined BCPAG in Novemeber, 2008.  He graduated from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics.  With over 35 years experience in public accounting, Wayne annually instructs numerous continuing education seminars and in-firm training classes all over the US for major continuing education providers in the areas of accounting, auditing, fraud, and taxation. 

Wayne is the Treasurer of Our Savior Lutheran Church and Academy.  He and his lovey wife have been blessed to be married for 25 years and they share 3 sons. Other than spending time with his family,  he enjoys his work and seminars.

Penny Wilson joined BCPAG in October 2005 and works in tax services at the firm.  She has been in public accounting since she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Belmont University in 1979.  Her primary emphasis is taxation.  Penny is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Tommy Wooten has been a Senior Audit Manager on a part-time basis with the firm since 1997.  He specializes in the audits of not-for-profit entities including ministry organizations and churches.  He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting and a Master of professional Accountancy degree from Georgia State University.  Tommy is currently a Professor of Accounting at Belmont University and teaches undergraduate principals of accounting, auditing, accounting information systems, as well as graduate auditing.  His previous experience includes three years as a Senior Auditor for Coopers & Lybrand, CPA’s (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and two years as a Financial Accountant for Yancy Brothers, where he performed financial and managerial duties.  Tommy’s involvement in both academics and industry allow him to stay on the cutting edge of auditing standards and techniques.  He is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Accounting Association and the Tennessee Society of Accounting Educators.  Tommy is very active in his church, where he serves on the Board of Deacons and the Finance Committee as well as an active member of the board of directors of Hope House International, Inc.
